Bill Bolling live-blogs at Family Foundation March 4

Received an email from Victoria Cobb at the Family Foundation announcing that Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling will be live-blogging with them next Wednesday, March 4, from 5-6 pm. She wrote:
I’m thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, March 4 – one week from today – Lt. Governor Bill Bolling will participate in a live interview on our blog, where he will answer your questions about the 2009 General Assembly. For one hour, beginning at 5:00 p.m., he will answer questions posted by our readers, and you can watch his answers posted live or read them at your leisure. We are very grateful to Lt. Governor Bolling for taking time out of his busy schedule to appear on our blog.

Please leave your question for him here.

Speaking of our blog, we are excited so many have visited during the General Assembly to see our unique coverage, which includes interviews, twitter updates, first person accounts, reporting from committee hearings, analysis, commentary, breaking news on priority bills, and quotes and bills of the day, among other things, all found in our Capitol Square Diary.

But among all the features we’ve added to the blog, our video capability has brought us the most attention. If you don’t think so, read how our intern was treated during some committee meetings – some lawmakers and interest groups just don’t want the public to know their true record. Speaking of getting the treatment, read how one senator rewarded one of our lobbyists when he did that senator a favor.

It would have been fantasy just a few years ago, but now grassroots conservatives can see the news the Mainstream Media will not provide, cannot provide, or provides with a liberal bias. We urge you to see the General Assembly for yourself, unfiltered, concerning “controversial” issues such as the Chaplain’s Prayer bill, where we put the video online for you to see how some Senators sank such a commonsense bill to protect religious liberty.

You can also see the dramatic moments on the Senate floor when the Choose Life License Plate amendment was adopted. But it’s not all about the General Assembly. Life goes on, even if it’s unseemly, as with these two Virginia colleges.

Our work is getting noticed by national and state media alike; even the lawmakers themselves. If they acknowledge the job we’re doing, we’re doing something right.

So, join the online party. Ask the LG a question or post your comments on any of the numerous subjects we cover and let the Commonwealth know what you think. Whether it’s in a meeting hall or online, numbers matter. Let Virginia know we’re out to make a difference.
Thanks to Victoria and everyone at the Family Foundation for all you do to protect family values.
